As you have probably noticed, today I changed the title of this blog from "Scrambled Eggs" to "A Day in the Life". I am allowed to do this because this blog is new, and it has very few followers, so not too many people will really notice.
And now for some trivia and a short story:
There was actually quite a bit of significance to the title "Scrambled Eggs". You see, I started this blog one lonely, boring night here at the Glenwood, and as I sat at my computer creating this blog, I was puzzled and couldn't think of a decent title for it. (Any blog that's anything has a good title to it, so naturally this was a pretty big deal). I was stumped. Then suddenly I had a brilliant idea. I looked up at the poster of the four Beatles that was hanging in the front room of our apartment and asked them, my ultimate sources of inspiration, what I should call my blog. Paul McCartney gave me the idea for "Scrambled Eggs". As you will recall, Paul McCartney wrote one of the greatest songs ever written, Yesterday, and when he couldn't think of a suitable name for the song or suitable lyrics, he decided to call it "Scrambled Eggs" until he thought of a better title because it fit well with the melody. You see how this was appropriate for me in my situation?
I was going to just keep that title, partly because I thought it an appropriate title for a blog, and partly because I couldn't think of anything better. But today I stumbled across another blog that gave me the idea to call it "A Day in the Life". Not only is this an incredible song, but it is also another title that is perfect for this blog.
So, in closing, I hope you are enjoying reading "A Day in the Life" of Mr. Andrew Stratford.
